Which is right for me?
Kiln Dried or Air-Dried Logs
Choosing the right firewood depends on your appliance and storage setup:
Kiln-Dried Logs: Guaranteed to have a moisture content of 20% or less. They light instantly, burn exceptionally hot and clean, and produce minimal smoke or flue tar. Ideal for maximum efficiency in modern eco-design wood burners.
Air-Dried Logs: Naturally seasoned in a barn for up to two years. They provide a highly cost-effective, traditional fireside experience with steady warmth. Best if you have a well-ventilated, sheltered log store to keep them completely protected from the rain.

Which Wood is Right for Me?
Guide to Wood Species
Ash: A brilliant all-rounder and top seller. It has a naturally low moisture content, ignites easily, and burns with a bright, clean flame and excellent heat output. Perfect for getting a fire established quickly.
Birch: Silvery bark makes it look great on display, and it catches light incredibly fast. It produces an intense, roaring heat quickly, making it the perfect choice for starting fires or using in fast-heating fire pits and stoves.
Oak: The ultimate slow-burner. It is a dense wood that provides an incredibly long-lasting, steady, and intense heat output. Best used once the fire is already well-established with ash or birch to maintain a deep, long-night burn.
Mixed: A versatile, value-driven blend of premium hardwoods. It offers a balance of easy-lighting pieces to start the fire and longer-burning logs to sustain it, making it ideal if you want an economical, everyday house mix.
