Rhubarb

Rhubarb is low maintenance and extremely easy to grow. It does require plenty of space though, as it will form a large leafy clump 1.5m (5ft) wide or more. With its red-tinged stems and large leaves, rhubarb is attractive enough to grow in borders, especially in tropical-style plantings. The top growth dies down over winter, re-sprouting every spring.
