Meadow Grange Nursery are proud to be working in partnership with the John GrahaUm centre in Blean. The John Graham centre is a day centre for adults with learning disabilities. The centre provides students with meaningful activities enabling adults with a learning disability to learn and achieve together, to be happy and for each person to be able to develop to their maximum potential. At Meadow Grange Nursery we have been working with Angela Cook director of the John Graham centre and building a relationship together. The students from the centre come to our nursery or the garden centre site and work each day in small teams along side an instructor to help staff with everyday jobs.
Peter Buscall General Manager for Meadow Grange Nursery would like to thank the teams that come each day and work hard across both sites. The students who come to us and work are gaining new skills, friends and most importantly being part of their community. We are pleased that we can participate in such a worthwhile project, helping to raise awareness of learning disabilities and offer this opportunity to such a great bunch of people. Next time you are shopping at the garden centre please take the time to stop and chat to the team from the John Graham centre, they enjoy meeting people and very proud of the work they are doing.
